About
At only 16 years of age (born 2005), Donato is a fierce and fiered competitor in the elite men field both in his home country of the Netherlands and in international competitions. Starting with surfing and windsurfing at 5 years of age, SUP became a natural alternative for days when the waves and the wind were lacking. From his very first race onwards, namely the iconic Lost Mills Race in 2017, Donato has started to develop his skills as a SUP racer, winning his very first elite men Dutch national title in Tech Racing and landing on the podium at the Nordhausen EuroTour event in 2021. Starting in his very first World Championships sanctioned by the ICF in Hungary in 2021 Donato successfully fought his way through qualifying rounds to reach the final in Tech Racing (8th place).
